“A wide and diverse range of pottery was discovered at Besh Ba Gowah. Not only was a wide variety of locally produced plainwares and redwares, used for daily chores, recovered but a high percentage of decorated wares was also discovered. The painted pottery most commonly discovered are the Salado polychromes: Pinto, Gila, and Tonto Polychrome.”
