This earth is my sanctuary.  Maps are my sacred texts.  My Wisconsin Space is sacred ground; a portal to enlightenment.  What you will find here are glimpses of special places in our earthly existence.  “This land is your land, this land is my land…This land was made for you and me.” Happy trails!

I can’t find anything about Roscholt which is the center of the Universe.

    Nice site. Take care.- Tim

You can find pictures and a video about Rosholt under the A-Z List at the top of the page or doing a search for “Rosholt”. See my embedded YouTube video about Rosholt:

    Grad to hear from you!

I think I no longer have a viable email for you. Your images are wonderful! And, an important addition to the record of land use in Wisconsin.

You did a video on the San Rafeal Swell in Utah, the credits show the last song to be “Our Way” by GalOr. Love this, sounds like Santana and other influences. Can’t find it anywhere or anything on this Artist. Can you give me more information. Love your videos. I teach, will share with others, including the “Science Guys”.

You can find more information about GalOr and his music on Garageband.com

Thanks for the positive feedback. I love to share new music and special places of the earth with others.

Just found your site and love it. I am also a lover of nature and have been lucky enough to travel to many of these same parks. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.

    Hi John,
I discovered your website through a search. I’m glad I’m no the only photographer that appreciates Wisconsin’s beauty and fun. I write mainly about Wisconsin too. I am a newbie blogger, only 5 months so far. I hope my site looks something like yours at some point, not quite there yet. Have a good weekend, happy picture taking!

    Hi Laurie,

I think that we are all connected to the character of some place. We are fortune to have Wisconsin satisfy our sense of place. Good luck with your photographic adventures.

    Hi John,
I found your site through a search and have viewed every Wisconsin State park and its campsites on youtube…maybe even more than once. They have been hugely helpful for me to preview parks and sites before booking them and to plan for future visits to others. Are you going to be visiting and doing the same with more state parks in the future?

  11. Traveler Johnon Apr 15th 2014 at 10:00 AM

    Hi Mark,

Yes, my ultimate goal is to photograph every campsite at all Wisconsin state parks and forests.

    Hi John,

We really enjoy your site and youtube channel.
I thought I remembered video of Peninsula State Park campgrounds.
Am I wrong about that? If not please point me in the right direction.

thanks a lot for all of your work,

Sorry Chris, but I have not produced a video for Peninsula State Park. My goal is to eventually have videos for every state park in Wisconsin. Thanks for the interest in my website and YouTube videos.

    Hi Traveler John,

How would I purchase a print?
